Jeff Parker & ETA IVtet

"The Way Out of Easy"

International Anthem / Nonesuch

Jeff Parker is in kind of a second act of his musical career. I know of him originally from his early days in Tortoise, Isotope 217 and other post-rock/indie bands on Thrill Jockey but discovered him again in this new jazz world from playing with Makaya McCraven. Anyways Jeff has a gang of solo records out and also collaborates quite a bit as well, I reccomend checking out the record of his body of work if you dig this gem.

This is a live record that was recorded in Highland Park at the now-defunct club ETA. This is a great record to put on and write to, I'm speaking from experience. My cat is vibing to this as well, he seems to be a jazz head. I would say that this record, and all of Makaya McCravens albums, are great at scartching itches both for newbies just getting into jazz and old heads alike as well.

I fuck with it.
