I'm just coming out the gates hot on this on cuz I fucking love these cats from Detroit, they are carrying the torch for Motor City legends like DJ Assault. This is "Ass n' Titties" for the modern times boys. You need BOTH, this album and their debut self titled, ASAP!

I think "DÉTWAT" is better as they've clearly progressed as producers and artists but both records are stacked with bangers, sick production, heavy bass, humor and are totally essential for your collection. HiTech also have released some singles, just hit up their bandcamp and buy it all.

I heard their first record playing at Commune Records in Pasadena (shout out to them, love that shop) and immediately bought it, which doesn't happen often for me. And when this one came out a bit later I snatched it up straight away as well. They call their music ghettotech and it's a mix of techno, electro, house music and Miami bass. But don't worry about all that all you need to know is it bangs.

My favorite track is "TEETEES DISPO" and it's had me singing "Daaaamn, who mama that is?" since 2023.

Also I saw DJ Assault in Austin, Texas for SXSW 2001 and he was killer.
