I'm writing to you as an unofficial member of the Freddie Gibbs fanclub. I've been down since the "Freddie" record, the song with 03 Greedo was my introduction. Dude then went on a tear dropping classic albums with "Piñata", "Fetti", "Bandana" and "Alfredo". I can't even get into all his classic features cuz we don't got time here but the Kanye one on Vultures was flawless. Seen him live a bunch of times, and I'll tell you this - dude is one of the best live rappers I've ever seen. One of the funniest too, "Say FUCK DIEGO!" I also followed his instagram career and I'm a firm believer he was one of the greatest to ever do it! I've got multiple Freddie Gibbs t-shirts, I'm a fan bro.

That all being said, I wasn't really into the last record "Soul Sold Separately", the production was lacking, but a few of the songs have grown on me and have been getting spins as of late.

This record has the same problem as dudes last one, the production is not good. Sounds like b-sides of the last one and the entire record sounds like one long song, almost every single one has tinkling paino. Some elevator music ass beats on here bro, zero bangers. We got Freddie's manager Lambo double dipping on here making beats when dudes should be going with what work and calling up our boys Madlib and/or The Alchemist. Pick up the phone baby! LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO!

Freddie on the other hand is on fire, some of his best rapping and funniest lyrics on here. He can't be stopped! Dude could rap over anything and make it interesting it seems and let's be honest Freddie is just a likable dude. To recap, Freddie Gibbs is one the best we have but this album isn't it. Although Freddie at his worst (which this isn't) is still better than most people's best.
