I am not sure what the hell is happening in Australia right now? The music coming out of the punk scene in the last few years has been as epic as their mullets. It's really been tough to keep up. I wasn't yet familiar to Billiam but saw the new LP available at my favorite mail order site and thought the cover looked cool. Listened to a few sample tracks and said "Fuck it!" Purchased it and it has now been in rotation on my stereo for months. Killer spazzy punk rock with strange hooks and synths that are so infectious they won't leave your brain. Dirty fuzzy production on this record gives it all the charm it needs. This record makes me feel like i'm trapped in-between an 80's video game and a Saturday morning cartoon. I'm here for it! The title track "Animation cel" starts things off with a bang and it's just a rollercoaster of fun from there. Stand out Tracks "My Metronome", "Carrot in Your Hand", "Maids Dress" and "Protect the Emerald". Goddamn it! Now I am going to have to track down the previous releases like the nerd I am.
